Program

Academic

The broad curriculum offers 20+ subjects at GCSE and 30+ at A Level, including Travel and Tourism and Digital Production. International pupils can follow the pre-A Level course which offers GCSE-equivalent study whilst boosting English skills. Small class-sizes provide each pupil with the encouragement to reach their full potential. The College offers a tutorial programme, rigorous progress tracking and support for SEN and gifted pupils. On average over half of A Level results are A*/B.

Boarding

The 8 houses, including a mixed Sixth Form house, promote a sense of community and team spirit and offer a high level of pastoral care. Each house, led by a houseparent supported by a team of staff and tutors, is an excellent environment for recreation and study; all have junior and senior common rooms and some are equipped with saunas and table-tennis and pool tables. Boarders benefit from supervised prep, evening activities and a host of weekend excursions and inter-house competitions.

Sports

Sport at Wycliffe offers something for everyone, whether competition, skill-development or recreation. The Wycliffe Advanced Sports and Performance Programme (WASP) and the elite Squash Academy cater for talented athletes, whilst co-curricular activities include fencing and the modern pentathlon. The College benefits from cricket, rugby and all-weather pitches, a swimming pool, squash courts, a gym, access to equestrian facilities and a boathouse with access to 30km of still water.

Creative arts

Wycliffe hosts a full programme of formal and informal music concerts, choral performances and ambitious drama productions. Musicians benefit from specialist instrumental lessons, a range of ensembles and a strong focus on music technology, whilst courses in drama and film studies are enriched with a Youth Theatre and LAMDA qualifications. The art studios host painting, printmaking, ceramics and photography whilst gallery visits and specialist lectures add to the high quality of work produced.
