Rossall is a co-educational boarding and day school with a historic campus set in 160 acres and with its own stretch of beach. The School is non-selective, seeking to bring out the best in pupils of all abilities in a safe, secure and supportive environment. It recently joined the Round Square organisation, combining a traditional British education with a focus on developing the whole child, and was one of the first English schools to introduce an International Study Centre (ISC).

All subjects in the broad curriculum are valued equally at Rossall, allowing pupils to gain wide experience and make an informed choice between A Levels and the IB Diploma, and between the 27 subjects on offer in the Sixth Form. Class tutors monitor, guide and encourage small groups of students, meeting them daily with one-to-ones as needed. International courses offer numerous pathways into the English education system, whilst on average over 20% of A-Level students achieve A*/A and the average IB score is above 30.
Each of the 7 houses (3 girls, 4 boys) has a common room, games room, kitchen, library and bedrooms with 2, 3 or 4 typically sharing. Resident houseparents are responsible for the well-being of the students in their care, supported by a team of deputies and tutors, and international students are fully integrated into school life. Each house has its own emblem, which together with a full programme of inter-house competition engenders house loyalty along with a healthy rivalry.
Sport at Rossall is about participation and enjoyment supported by high quality coaching and comprehensive programmes of interhouse and interschool competition. Facilities include a brand-new state of the art £4m Sports Centre, a 25m swimming pool, squash and fives courts, a climbing wall, a golf academy, extensive playing fields and a fitness suite. A floodlit all-weather pitch and a Multi-Use Games Area together offer surfaces for hockey, tennis, netball and basketball.
The Beecham Music School with its practice organ, orchestral rehearsal room and Sibelius suite hosts the 30% of students who receive instrumental lessons, whilst venues such as the new Performing Arts Centre, the 150 seat Museum Theatre and the 350 seat Big School provide musicians, singers, dancers and actors with a place to enhance their talents. For those interested in Art & Design the state of the art DT workshops, spacious and airy Art studios and Walkway Gallery provide students with the resources to excel.
