Gredos San Diego (GSD) is a worker’s cooperative group dedicated to education, counting with 8 schools in the region of Madrid, Spain, one in San José, Costa Rica and one in Cameroon. Our campuses cover education from nursery and kindergarten to primary education (from the age of 4 months) up to secondary high school and vocational education (21 years old). Altogether GSD Schools have an average of 15.000 students and around 1500 people counting faculty and non-faculty members, from which about 80% are cooperative members. With these numbers GSD has become the biggest educational cooperative in Spain.
Our educational project makes a point in values coming through sports, cooperative learning methodologies, arts, music, care for the environment and global experiences among others. Therefore, we are continuously developing all kinds of experiential activities with institutions in other countries and searching for new opportunities to collaborate with schools with a similar vision to ours. So, we are a school group which prepares global activities for our students and students coming from other countries.
Our campus GSD International School Buitrago combines this educational experience with residential facilities to welcome groups participating in short stays or individual students to spend 1 year programs, either through IB Diploma program or National curriculum, combined with specific courses of Spanish language and culture.
