Founded in 1961, the Fairfax Christian School is a Washington, D.C. area university-prep located near Washington-Dulles International Airport. The Fairfax Christian School is consistently ranked one of the top high schools in Virginia an was the first high school to receive the E-Award from the US Department of Commerce.
“The ‘E’ Awards Committee was very impressed with The Fairfax Christian School’s dedication to providing quality education to students from around the world. The school’s adaptation of its curriculum to accommodate non–English speakers was also particularly notable,” said US Secretary of Commerce, Penny Pritzker.
The school’s English as a Second Language program uses a university-prep curriculum. Students receive an intensive, comprehensive curriculum that ensures students read, write and speak at a university level. Students take TOEFL-prep classes and Advanced Placement (AP) classes for university credit. They are well prepared to enter and compete in America’s top universities.
The school offers 21 Advanced Placement (AP) courses and Dual Enrollment courses for university credit.

Many of our international students use our homestay boarding program. Living with families from our school community, students receive personal attention and a safe transition into American culture where students can focus their attention on their academics.
